Michael L. brought a copy of Seth Godin's new book Purple Cow: Transform Your Business (packaged in milk carton) back from a DoubleClick conference in London. In the chapter called "The Law of Large Numbers" we have become officially large:

"The magic of mas media amd the web is all tied up in the large numbers: 20 million people watching the Sopranos; 100 million people watching the superbowl; a billion people watching the Oscars; 3 million people using Kazaa at the same time, all the time; 120 million registered Yahoo! users. The numbers are compelling."

... but there are more than 3 million online these days...
