All Marketers are Liars Technorati icon

LiarsimgSeth Godin has a new book that looks as wonderful as the rest of his catalogue.  The resonating idea for me is the sub-heading: “The Power of Telling Authentic Stories in a Low-Trust World.”

Anything that matters (and many things that don’t) is scrutinised on a global scale within a nano-second of release. If you are not a part of the conversation (tip of the hat to CTM) it is hard to be trusted by customers.

‘The Power of Authentic Stories…’ is easy to under-estimate. There is something wonderful about knowing the human stories behind the hype.

I enjoy Adam Curry’s podcast and Robert Scoble’s blog for this very reason.
